When I think of the Spring season, the first thought that comes to mind is the blooming of flowers, growing of leaves on trees and grass, and the return of birds and insects. I see this season as a time where all things are made new.
How about you? And what about me? What is new with us in the new season?
I spent some time in meditation and prayer as the winter season brought forth some low temps and windchill that had nothing to do with the weather outside. It seemed like my blessings were being blocked while obstacle had no trouble finding their way to me as they came rapidly and from multiple directions.
I was in wonderment as to what I was doing incorrectly to lead me to these places and situations that I was in. I felt like I was being obedient, I wanted to believe I was deserving and yet here I was… a little lost and a little sad.
I knew I needed to allot more time in The word, in prayer and in silence so that I could be clear when God spoke. I wanted to ensure complete discernment to His desires and not rely on my own plans when God’s plan far exceeds anything I can plan for myself.
This song “Send The Rain”has been a great song of meditation as William McDowell sings about the dry season also known as the harvest season and how we are going to wait on God to send the rain to grow those planted blessings that we have sown and prayed for into full bloom!
The message I heard was God has to “send the rain” to prepare me for this new season and if I just patiently wait on him, the rain will come, followed by the blessings!
Wonderfully put!
