My thoughts have been bubbling over lately and I cannot even get the written down before I’m on to the next thought but I’m going to share a few here.
First and foremost, 2020 continues to show us that we must pray. I’m praying for people who are in denial to how they see people who do not look like them. I’m praying for people who immediately hold their purse tighter or cross the street when they see an African_american man. I’m praying for people who look around their circle and only see people who have the same identifying characteristics as themselves. I’m praying for people who think because they like me, they like all people of color! I’m praying for the heart of all people! Before we can make changes, we must first acknowledge there is underlying biases that needs to change!
I’m praying for protesters In Portland, Louisville and around the country! Protesting is a constitutional right that people are negating to acknowledge and are using unnecessary force and further aggravating the situation. Stand your ground, you are our front line heroes!
I’m praying for the families of everyone who has suffered loss this year! Being in the midst of a pandemic while in bereavement makes it a lot worse and I pray for strength to look for the sun on each new day, comfort from the arms of Jesus and peace in the memories that are forever embedded in your hearts!
I’m praying for our healthcare professionals and grocery clerks, truckers, delivery men & women, warehouse workers, bankers and all other essential employees like myself who have to truly wake up each day and walk by faith and not fear. I thank God for people who have the willingness to continue to do their jobs in such a time as this. People who use the talents God gave them to heal the sick, supply the masses and help those in need.
I’m praying for clergy around the world. I know at times I feel overwhelmed hearing an abundance of news and reports that are disheartening and my intake is minuscule to what they receive from their members, families, communities and so forth. i’m praying for tenacity for our religious leaders. I’m praying that they seek uninterrupted time with God to restore their strength and to receive guidance in how to lead His people!
I’m praying for for single people who wish they had a companion during this time. I’m praying for married people who may be wishing they were single during this time! LOL
I’m praying for both parents and children! I’m praying that parents are given an astronomical size dose of patience as children will continue to be home in the coming months. Praying for balance and occasional breaks to replenish the tank that can quickly be drained with all the roles and tasks in any given day. I’m praying for children who may not understand exactly what is going on and may act out.I’m praying for new ideas to continue to come forth in strengthening the family unit as God would have it to be.
I’m praying for my peace during this time, I’m praying for direction. I’m praying for strength!
What are you praying for?
I’m praying for love, unity, peace and lots of prayers.
We must remember that God is in control….
I know that sometimes it’s hard.
