I wake up every day with a heart full of gratitude.
Grateful to have been kept through the night and awakened on another day. Grateful to be under shelter with full utilities. Grateful to have mobility of my limbs, brain and senses. And just grateful for all that I have been blessed with including my husband, family and friends.
Having gratitude as the first thoughts of my day really prepares me for the day ahead. I often wake up and listen to “God Won’t Let Me Fail” by Tamika Patton.
The lyrics below help create somewhat of an “armor” for my day. I know that no matter what happens, I must keep my Faith in God, cause he knows far better than you & I what is to come and what we need to endure.
“I hear, a voice down inside of me
Constantly reminding me that
“God Won’t Let Me fail”
I know the road may get tough
I feel i had enough”
“God Won’t Let Me fail”
There have been and will continue to be some days where they come to an end and I am feeling defeated. Knowing that the God I serve is still in control allows me to rest.
“Oh if I fall, it’s not the end
I’ll get back up and try again
“God Won’t Let Me Fail”
This life is full of up’s and down
He place my feet on higher ground
I destined to prevail”
“God Won’t Let Me Fail”
Knowing that God will not let you fail does not mean you continue to fight the same battle over and over again. There comes a point where you should concede.
When I say concede, I do not mean to the situation you’re in, instead of continuing to fight, submit your strength & power to the word of God! Stand on his promises and let him battle ahead for you!
I heard another sermon where the Pastor shared that you have to tell others “Don’t count me out, God is not through with me! It ain’t over until God calls me home!
It ain’t about when a fat lady sings, it’s about when the angels sing!
It’s about when God speaks to you! Yessss Lord.
She also shared that there will be times when you feel isolated and as if the world is against or simply does not understand you, and to this she shared “Don’t you give up! You’re not a chicken, you’re an eagle. Eagles fly alone cause their wings take up room!”
Amen?…. Amen!
Sometimes we will be up and sometimes we will be down, and sometimes we will be lathered to the ground, but as long as we got King Jesus!”
We will look to the hills which cometh our help, our help comes from the Lord!
