Growing Through What I Am Going Through

Hello!

It has been awhile and an adventure to say the least. I have spent the better part of the last year unplugging from anything more than what I absolutely had to do for self-preservation.

That season of solitude is ending and my voice is literally aching to be used literally and metaphorically!

While I am still unpacking in some areas, I do want to be intentional in sharing other areas so that it may inspire someone else to share and then another person and so forth so that we might learn & grow together!

I have been revisiting a book that I read in 2017 that’s called “Whose Shoes Are You Wearing?” This time I am journeying through it with a small group of family & friends and let me tell you….
Our takeaways and “aha” moments have been soul stirring at times.

One particular topic that is mentioned in the book that has come up through other vessels has been the topic of “mask wearing” and no, I am not talking about the KN95 or any other physical barrier designed to protect you during this pandemic.
The “masks” that I am speaking of are not necessarily tangible in nature but ever present nonetheless. These masks shield our real thoughts, feelings and emotions and allows us to present to the world the version of ourselves that we want them to perceive. Masks that are a façade and barrier to limit the reach that people are allotted.
Masks that hide our vulnerability and give us the reputation of being super resistant, strong, and unbreakable.

Oh, but there comes a time in our day or weeks when we have to take those masks off because we are exhausted!

The topic of masks and so many other topics are coming soon to our live discussions on Clubhouse. If you’re on Clubhouse, join Wives Entertainment Group https://www.clubhouse.com/join/wives-entertainment-group/1zRBaUTR
