Love & Marriage

Love & Marriage-Week 2

These are the couples I celebrated from 2/10-2/14. I missed posting on 2/9 as I was very busy but my planned post for that day was going to include a message about Agape love and a shout out to all the engaged couples in our life! 2020 is looking to be a year full of new beginnings for so many beautiful couples and Chocolate & I are both excited and blessed to share in their day and lifetime union.

Our prayer for all the couples is that we can be a light and vessel to each other. That we can share in encouragement, testimonies, trials, blessings, and that marriage entails.

Our living inspiration and counselors! They have been married for forty-five years y’all! They are both super smart, super passionate and super fun! We absolutely adore them and their priceless camaraderie that comes from that many years together. They are the epitome of servant leaders, they selfishly give of their time and talents to so many, it’s quite humbling to watch. We cannot wait for a grand 50th anniversary party in a few years!
My high school bestie and her hubby have been married for a little over a year with a lifetime to go! My heart rejoices at this union as it was one that we have prayed for. My bestie deserves all the blessings God has given and yet to give to her. We are looking forward to continuing to share in love & marriage with them.
We had to give them the nickname “Sr. Wards” to differentiate between us & them lol. My sweet Mama Ward is so much like my gran was as a wife. She’s so patient, thoughtful and caring. I love witnessing her excitement and careful planning over each holiday and anniversary 30 years into their marriage!
Our Florida family! These 2 were our date night partners until he accepted a position in FL shortly after they got married and off the went, so just know a part of our heart resides on the Florida panhandle! They are a great Christian couple who will pray with you, encourage you and keep you uplifted without asking anything in return. My prayer is that they take up residence in Northern Virginia again in the near future but until then miles nor distance would ever change our love for them.
Chocolate & I will celebrate our 10th anniversary in October! It doesn’t seem like yesterday but it sure doesn’t seem like it’s been 10 years since we exchanged vows.
2019 was one that tested us every way possible but we’re still here.. still breaking generational curses and still loving one another. On my valentine birthday the caption on my post to him said “If I wrote a book about where we stand, the title would be life with Superman”
