My mom gave me this as a birthday gift and she even found this particular page leading into the book of Micah and told me to blog about it as it had resonated with her.
I view the term “good” used in this particular passage as a synonym for “perfect”. Often when you identify as a Christian, some expect you to be “perfect” and they will measure your Christianity by your acts and service as if they have any true credibility to do so.
We are all created in His likeness so, me identifying as a Christian believer does not make me any more accountable for my sins than someone who has yet to acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The Bible says there will come a time when every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess!
Not some, but every!
In the second paragraph it says; “we must pray for our fallen world.” As you turn on the news, read the paper or simply engage in conversation with other people, one thing is apparent; this world needs prayer.
And my favorite line is the last one; “We must empty ourselves of the beliefs of the world and prepare our hearts for the movement of the Holy Spirit”
We have to believe that what we are praying for is able to come true otherwise we are wasting our time. So, release all thoughts of the naysayers and rid yourself of doubt so that when you converse with God you have a pure heart that believes wholeheartedly in his abilities to see you through whatever it is that is troubling you.
He is Able!
Yes he is!
